Ingredients
Bowl Ingredients
5piecesJust Bare frozen chicken nuggets, cooked in the air fryer
3/4cupGood Culture cottage cheese
3tbspRao's marinara sauce
1/4cupPart-skim shredded mozzarella
1/2tspItalian seasoning
1tbspFresh basil, finely chopped
Instructions
Preparation Steps
Warm the marinara: spoon the marinara into a microwave-safe bowl and heat on high for 30–40 seconds until steaming. This loosens the sauce and makes it easier to mix.
Make the creamy base: add the cottage cheese to the bowl with the warmed marinara. Stir until smoothish — a few small curds are fine. Stir in the Italian seasoning and the chopped basil.
Prepare the chicken: cut the cooked air-fried nuggets into bite-size pieces (about 1/2-inch). If you want extra crispness, reheat them in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes at 400°F before chopping.
Combine and top: fold the chopped chicken into the cottage cheese–marinara mixture. Smooth the top and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the bowl.
Melt the cheese: microwave the assembled bowl on high for 30–45 seconds, or until the mozzarella is melted and bubbling. Let the bowl rest for 1 minute so it cools slightly and the flavors meld.
Finish and serve: give everything a quick stir so the melted cheese stretches through the mixture, garnish with an extra pinch of basil if desired, and enjoy warm.
Notes
Tip: For a crisper topping, transfer the assembled bowl to a small oven-safe dish and place under the broiler for 1–2 minutes instead of microwaving—watch closely so the cheese doesn't burn. Leftovers keep well sealed in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat gently in the microwave or oven. This recipe is an original creation inspired by classic Easy Chicken Parmesan Bowl flavors.
